Duterte Cabinet satisfaction rating highest since 1990: Roque

MANILA — Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Saturday said the Cabinet’s “good” net satisfaction rating in a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey was the highest given to the Cabinet since 1990.

In its latest report, SWS survey showed that the net satisfaction rating of the Cabinet fared “good” at +38, a six-point increase from +32 in September 2017.

Ratings increased 15 points in Mindanao, eight points in Balance Luzon, and three points in Metro Manila, combined with a seven-point decline in Visayas.

In the survey, the Cabinet net satisfaction rating increased by one grade from “good” to “very good” in Mindanao, from “moderate” to “good” in Balance Luzon and in Metro Manila, and a maintained “good” in the Visayas.

“We thank our people for giving their seal of approval to President Duterte’s Cabinet with a net satisfaction rating of +38,” Roque said in a statement.

“We have to point out that this figure, considered “good” by the polling firm, is the highest net satisfaction rating given to the Cabinet since 1990,” he said.

“This will therefore inspire and motivate the members of the President’s official family to work double time in bringing a comfortable life for all Filipinos under a trustworthy government,” he added.

The survey, conducted from Dec. 8 to 16, used face-to-face interviews among 1,200 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide.

Among the total, samples were distributed evenly by 300s in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. (Joyce Ann L. Rocamora/PNA)
