Military clashes with bandits in Sulu

Military forces have encountered suspected members of Abu Sayyaf Group in Patikul, Sulu on Friday morning.

According to Joint Task Force Sulu, at least 15 fighters had a confrontation with the combat group of the Second Special Force Battalion in Barangay Langhub. The bandits were believed to be members of ASG leader Radulan Sahiron.

Authorities seized several weapons and cellular phones. Details on whether or not there were casualties in the incident are yet to be released. – Report from Bea Bernardo
