7 provinces in Luzon log ‘very high’ COVID-19 positivity rate –OCTA

Seven provinces in Luzon logged “very high” COVID-19 positivity rate, OCTA Research Group reported Monday, Aug. 29.

In a tweet, OCTA Research Fellow Dr. Guido David said the one-week positivity rates in Albay (21.2%), Cagayan (29.7%), Camarines Sur (46.7%), Isabela (30.1%), La Union (20.1%), Nueva Ecija (42.5%), and Tarlac (37.3%) remained “very high.”

Meanwhile, COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region dropped to 12.9% on Aug. 27 from 14.6% on Aug. 20.

COVID-19 positivity rate in Bataan also fell to 8% on Aug. 27 from 10.5% on Aug. 20, making it the lone province with below 10% positivity rate. –KC/gb
