10-hour power outage to hit parts of N. Ecija, Aurora Thursday

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — Some areas in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Aurora will experience power interruption up to 10 hours on Thursday.

In an advisory issued by the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP), the areas in Nueva Ecija and Aurora that will be affected by the shutdown of their transmission lines are those being serviced by the Nueva Ecija II-Electric Cooperative, Inc.-Area I, Nueva Ecija II-Electric Cooperative Inc.-Area II and Aurora Electric Cooperative, Inc.

The 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. scheduled brownout will affect the towns of Talavera, Natividad, Llanera, Palayan City, Bongabon, Gabaldon, Laur, Rizal and portions of Sto. Domingo, all in Nueva Ecija; and Dingalan, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Baler and Dipaculao, all in Aurora.

The NGCP said the power interruption is to facilitate the maintenance of the Cabanatuan Substation, and the Cabanatuan-San Luis 69-kilovolt line.

It has advised consumers and the general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruption. (Marilyn Galang/PNA)
