100 frontliners in Silang get Sinovac jabs

By Bernard Jaudian

Around 100 healthcare workers in Silang, Cavite received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine at the town’s first vaccine rollout today, Easter Sunday.

The vaccination was conducted at the Silang Specialist Medical Center. Silang Mayor Socorro Rosario “Corie” Poblete visited the venue.

The doses of Sinovac used in the rollout arrived yesterday and were delivered with the help of the Municipal Health Office, Silang Disaster Relief and Reduction Management Office (DRRMO), and Philippine National Police-Silang.

Prior to the rollout, health care workers who wanted to be vaccinated registered online or through barangay health workers.

The local government will be vaccinating senior citizens next.

Other towns in Cavite will soon commence their vaccine rollout after additional doses of Sinovac were delivered to the area yesterday.
