The Philippine National Police (PNP), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will deploy a total of 10,400 uniformed personnel to secure the inauguration of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice president-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio.

According to PNP Spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, they are all set for the inauguration of Duterte in Davao City on June 19.

They will deploy around 3,500 to 3,700 PNP personnel along with the AFP and PCG to secure the inauguration venue in Davao.

Meanwhile, the PNP is in its final stage of preparations for the inauguration of Marcos on June 30 at the historical National Museum in Manila.

Fajardo said they will deploy around 6,500 to 6,700 PNP personnel around the venue and in the nearby areas of the museum.

Moreover, Fajardo said they cannot stop those who will hold rallies on both inaugurations, but they will be allowed to perform their protests on designated freedom parks.

“Sila lamang po ay papayagan doon po sa mga designated freedom parks, at hindi po natin sila hahayaan na makalapit po doon sa venue both for the inauguration po ng ating papasok na vice president, kung hindi maging dito rin po sa inauguration po ni president-elect BBM,” she said.

“This is in order not to disrupt and disturb po iyong mga national events po na ito,” she added.  – ag
