MANILA — None of the 140 Filipinos in Colombia has been hurt in a terror car bombing in Bogotá that killed 21 people and injured scores of others, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday.

The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, which has jurisdiction over Colombia, said initial reports indicated that none of the 140 members of the Filipino Community was among the dead or injured.

The DFA expressed condolences to Colombia and the families of those who perished in the blast, which was described by Colombian President Ivan Duque as a “terrorist act.”

On Thursday (Colombia time), a truck packed with 80 kg. of pentolite exploded after ramming a wall inside the General Santander police academy while a cadet promotion activity was taking place.

The Colombian government has blamed the left-wing National Liberation Army for the explosion.

Reports said Colombian Defense Minister Guillermo Botero identified the 57-year-old driver who carried out the attack as a top explosives expert and a long-time member of the rebel group
