Lawyers, teachers, engineers, and actress Nathalie Hart were among the 155 “Salinlahi” members who accomplished the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) and joined the Philippine Army reserve force on Saturday, July 9.

The ‘Salinlahi’ Class 01-2022 finished the reservists’ training program from May 15 to July 9.

Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RCPA) Commander MGen. Fernando Felipe led the pinning of ranks to the new reservists.

In his speech, Felipe noted the significance and the responsibility they have for the country.

“As you graduate today, bear in mind that you have a vital and bigger responsibility not only to the reserve force but to our countrymen as well. We are responsible to extend our hand in times of disaster, pandemic, calamity, and even war,” he said.

The newly enlisted reservists will be assigned to different Ready Reserve Infantry Battalions of the National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group. – ag
