19-year old Pinay squasher to play for ’19 SEAG

The country’s recent troubles with Squash facilities for the 30th Southeast Asian Games became a blessing in disguise for 19-year old squash player Jimmie Mae Avila. After the two doubles events were scrapped in the SEA Games’ calendar of events due to unfinished facilities, the national squash team needed an additional amount of players for the new events prompting Philippine Squash Academy President Robert Bachmann to accept Avila’s application.
