MANILA — 1Bataan will join Pasig in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour in Doha after making the finals of the Chooks-To-Go 3×3 Asia-Pacific Super Quest at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong City on Sunday.

The Risers punched a seat to the Doha tournament after beating the Jakarta West Bandits, 21-18, in the semifinals.

The quartet of Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, Karl Dehesa, and Travis Franklin, however, fell short to 3×3 EXE Premier of Japan, 20-22, in the championship game on a last-minute deuce from Keita Suzuki.

Also known as Tokyo Dime, EXE Premier made its way to the World Tour as well after eliminating the other Filipino team in the tournament, Pasig, 16-11, in the other semifinal, denying an all-Filipino final.

The Kings already clinched a spot in the World Tour after winning the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup.

EXE Premier took home USD20,000 for winning it all, while 1Bataan settled for a USD15,000 for their runner-up finish.
