2 bombs explode in Koronadal City,  Tacurong City

Two different bomb explosions were reported in Koronadal City and Tacurong City on Thursday, May 26.

Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum, Police Regional Office 12 director, said an explosion damaged the back of a passenger bus and injured an individual in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The victim was identified as Joseph Rodolfo Valenzuela, a tricycle driver who was at the back of the bus when the explosion happened. Authorities have yet to identify the kind of bomb used.

Meanwhile, another bomb exploded in Brgy. Calean, Tacurong City that resulted in the temporary closure of the exit road in the city. Authorities are already investigating who was behind the bombing.

Tagum advised the public to immediately report to the authorities in case of suspicious situations.

“Maliit pa rin po ito, hindi natin dapat katakutan, hindi pa rin po nagresulta ng malakihang damage at kasugatan ng mga pasahero,” he said. —Report from Joy Catleya Jardenil / KC-ag
