2 Filipino promoters to get awards from WBC Asian body

DAVAO CITY – Promoters Brico Santig of Benguet and JC Manangquit of General Santos City will receive awards from the WBC Asian Boxing Council on May 22 at the Asia Hotel in Ratchathewee, Bangkok, Thailand.

The 43-year-old Santig will receive the “Pacific Region Promoter of the Year 2018” while the 26-year old Manangquil will get the “Archipelago Zone Promoter of the Year 2018.”

Both Santig and Manangquil were recipients of the same awards last year.

Santig, now based in Bangkok, is top honcho of the Highland Boxing Promotion which operates in Manila, Benguet and Bangkok.

Manangquil, on the other hand, is the president of the Sanman Boxing Promotion.
