2 weather systems continue to bring rains over PH

By Veronica Corral

Two weather systems will continue to prevail over parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tuesday, April 26.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Oriental.

PAGASA said that these areas may also experience possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country also brought by the easterlies.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the weather bureau also said that light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago. – gb
