27th PNP Day

The Philippine National Police celebrates its 27th founding anniversary today, Monday, Jan 29, 2018, in simple but fitting ceremonies at its National Headquarters in Camp Crame.

DILG Officer-in-Charge, Gen. Eduardo Año is guest of honor and keynote speaker in the commemoration rights coinciding with the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony.

Año, assisted by PNP Chief Director General Ronald M Dela Rosa, will lead top DILG- NAPOLCOM and PNP officials in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Bantayog ng Bayaning Pulis ( PNP Battle Monument) in honor of fallen brothers-in-arms who died in line of duty, highlighting the event.

A full-dress parade and review ceremony participated by NHQ-based Directorial Staff Offices, and National Support and Separate Units, will cap the 27th PNP founding anniversary rites.

The PNP celebrates January 29 as founding anniversary in commemoration of the casing of colors of its forerunner organizations, the Philippine Constabulary and the Integrated National Police, and the official activation of the PNP on January 29, 1991

The PNP was founded upon the enactment of Republic Act 6975 or the DILG Reorganization Act. (PNP-PIO)
