3 dead in Caloocan shooting

A shooting incident in Caloocan City left three dead and four people injured on Wednesday night, Feb. 15.

According to the initial investigation, the suspect went on a shooting spree and shot whatever he saw.

“Nagkaroon siya ng shooting spree, kung sino ‘yung navi-view niya doon sa terrace niya, yun ‘yung pinagpupuputukan niya kaya ang nakita namin sa area ay ‘yung adjacent niyang barangay, yun ‘yung dead on the spot,” Caloocan Police Sub-Station 4 Commander PMaj. Tessie Lleva said.

Barangay Captain Jerome Sorian said the suspect went to the barangay hall twice prior to the shooting incident to complain about the burning of waste near his home.

The suspect returned to report that someone was taking his picture.

The suspect peacefully surrendered after authorities entered his home with his relatives.

The suspect is facing three murder charges, four frustrated murder charges, and another charge for illegal firearm and deadly weapon possession. –Reports from Rod Lagusad/KC-ag
