DAVAO CITY — Three children were stabbed dead by their own father inside the family’s home in Purok 1, Barangay San Isidro, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal at about 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 11 (Davao), identified the victims as RJ Nonoy, 13; Cyrus, 11; Aira Nicole, 7; and Sophia, 4.

Driz said they were stabbed by their father Joel, 40, a carpenter, who also stabbed himself but survived, along with Sophia. Both are recuperating from their wounds.
