3 killed, 31 arrested in Bulacan anti-drug ops

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Three suspected drug pushers were killed while more or less 31 others were arrested in separate drug operations conducted by Bulacan police on Sept. 12-13.

Bulacan Provincial Director, Senior Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, on Friday said the slain drug suspects were one alias “Bok”, Ramon Maningas, and one alias “Ryan”.

According to Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos City chief of police, operatives of the city’s drug enforcement unit conducted the operation against alias Bok and his cohort alias Bungo in Barangay Taal at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

“After the drug deal was consummated, Bok drew a firearm and shot at the operatives. A gunfight ensued that resulted in his death while his cohort Bungo was able to escape,” Bruno said.

Recovered from the scene were two 9-mm fired cartridge, a Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolver without serial number, one gold plated ring, two plastic sachets of suspected marijuana dried leaves and eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

Meanwhile, Maningas waz killed by police in a separate anti-narcotics operation at around 12:45 p.m. in Purok 7, Barangay Bagong Buhay 1, City of San Jose del Monte, while alias Ryan was killed in Barangay Caypombo, Sta. Maria, Bulacan at about 11:26 p.m., both on Thursday.

Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operation team processed the crime scene and recovered two caliber .38 revolvers, 15 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and buy-bust money.

Bersaluna identified the arrested drug suspects as Ireneo Dela Cruz,  Dominique Adame, Jonathan Ordinaryo, Mark Anthony Sarrondo, Elvis Moraga Nicolas, Bernardo Darilay Belza, Ronnald John Miasis, Lorena Ulitin, and Bachiba Lerit;

Ernesto Aporto, Roxan Conde, Rodolfo Salvador Jr., Maribeth Santos, Gemma Santos, Amalia Bose, Mia Gabriel, Jacquelyn Faigao, Clarizz Ann Castro, April Amoranto, Joana Trinidad, Vergilio De Guzman, Jayson Ibañez, Melvin Cruz, Rebecca Concepcion, Napoleon Aguilar, Jeffrey Salazar, Joan Santos, Alvin Alonzo, John Edsel Talamante, Quenylyn Nierras and Beatriz Ricardo.

The two-day drug operations were conducted by the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the city and municipal police stations of Calumpit, Meycauayan, Hagonoy, San Ildefonso, Marilao, Balagtas, Plaridel, Baliwag, Bocaue, City of Malolos, Norzagaray and City San Jose del Monte.

A total of 82 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, three plastic sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves, assorted drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money were confiscated.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints against the suspects were prepared for filing in court. (Manny Balbin/PNA)
