3 nabbed for illegal sale of prescription medicines in Nueva Ecija

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija –Three persons, including a husband and wife, were arrested for illegal sale of prescription medicines in a continuous anti-drug operation here Tuesday morning.

Supt. Joe Neil Rojo, town police chief, identified the suspects as spouses Leover Santiago, 39, and Ronalyn Santiago, 29, of Aduas Sur, Cabanatuan City and Melvin Pascual, 32, of Barangay La Torre.

Recovered from the couple were boxes of Novain, containing 10 capsules each, three pieces of disposable syringes and PHP500 marked money.

Operatives also recovered from Pascual five vials of Nalbin, one syringe and PHP500 buy bust money.

Rojo said Pascual was arrested first at around 9 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay La Torre while the Santiagos were nabbed in follow up operation at around 10:30 a.m. in Barangay San Miguel Na Munti, both of this municipality.

The suspects are detained pending charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Rojo said. (PNA)
