3 weather systems to bring isolated rains in PH Friday: PAGASA

MANILA—The three prevailing weather systems will continue to bring isolated rains in most parts of the country on Friday, state weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said.

In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa said the northeast monsoon is affecting northern and central Luzon, particularly the regions of Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora.

The tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains in the Bicol region and the province of Quezon.

Meanwhile, the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) continues to affect the eastern portion of Mindanao, bringing scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in the Caraga and Davao regions.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly or cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
