4.4-magnitude quake hits Balut Island

A 4.4-magnitude quake hit Balut Island Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The tectonic quake hit 331 kilometers (km) southeast of Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao Occidental at around 8:13 a.m.

It had a depth of 31 km.

Damages and aftershocks are not expected.
