Four American pedophiles who attempted to enter the country were intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on different occasions, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Friday.
Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the foreigners have been blacklisted and banned from reentering the Philippines.
He said the country’s immigration law provides for the exclusion of aliens convicted of crimes involving moral turpitude.
“They were denied entry after our immigration officers found that they were included in our [alert list] of foreigners who have been convicted of sex crimes, mostly against minors, in their home countries,” he said in a statement.
Former serviceman Justin Henry Glasgow, 43, was intercepted at Terminal 3 in Pasay City on Oct. 8 upon arrival from Guam. He was reportedly convicted of child pornography in 2005 and sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
Daniel Clare Rademacher, 60, was turned away the next day at Terminal 1 in Parañaque after arriving from Incheon, South Korea. He was convicted in 2004 on two counts of criminal sexual conduct wherein the victim was a 15-year-old girl.
On Oct. 12, Khallif Francis Ammen, 29, was also intercepted at the Terminal 1 after arriving from Los Angeles, California. He was convicted in 2016 for child pornography and possession of lewd pictures and videos of his 11-year-old victim.
Turned back at the same terminal was Brian William Sanchez, 68, who also arrived from Los Angeles on Nov. 2. He was convicted of child pornography in 2003.
Ferdinand Tendenilla, acting chief of the BI border control and intelligence unit, said all four were sent back on the next available flights to their ports of origin.
