SHS voucher program applicants have until April 27 to register

MANILA — The Department of Education (DepEd) has reminded the public that the deadline for submission of the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) application is on April 27.

In a statement on Saturday, DepEd said all applications for the month of April must be accomplished online by accessing the Private Education Assistance Committee’s Online Voucher Application Program at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph.

Applicants are advised to read DepEd Order No. 60 series of 2017 or Guidelines on the Application for the SHS VP for School Year 2018-2019 and to direct their concerns to [email protected].

Through a memorandum dated March 28, DepEd Undersecretaries Jesus Mateo and Victoria Catibog recommended the re-opening of the SHS VP application on April 2.

It aims to accommodate a greater number of Grade 10 completers for School Year 2018-2019 and to provide them with the option to enroll in private schools, state universities and colleges, and local universities and colleges – including technical and vocational schools offering the SHS program. (PR)
