5 suspects arrested in Zambales buy-bust, over P120-K worth of shabu seized

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Authorities have arrested five suspects and seized over P120,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Subic, Zambales on Sunday (Oct. 24).

In a police report released on Monday (Oct. 25), Col. Romano V. Cardiño, acting provincial director of the Zambales Police Provincial Office, said the buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Zambales, Subic Drug Enforcement Unit, Subic Municipal Police Station and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit-Provincial Intelligence Unit in Barangay Matain.

Cardiño said the suspects were identified as Peter Paul Boscano, 36; Sahaya Alonto, 26; Ruben San Juan, 31; Abraham de Guzman, 40; and Renato Roxas, 27.

Confiscated from the suspects were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 18 grams, several pieces of paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA) – bny
