The 5th Sinebata Awards held last August 27 at the Peninsula Manila lit up the stage with a dazzling showcase of creativity, compassion, and youthful brilliance.

Organized by Anak TV, this year’s festival carried the theme, “The Magic of Peace,” urging young Filipino creators to explore stories of harmony, empathy, and resilience through the lens of video.

With 128 entries submitted nationwide—from animated shorts to heartfelt documentaries—the festival culminated in an inspiring awards ceremony that honored the most outstanding works across 11 categories.

The winning entries will carry the Philippine flag to the esteemed Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children (SEAVFC) in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14-15, 2025— where they’ll stand alongside young creators from across ASEAN in a vibrant showcase of unity, creativity, and media made for and by children.

“Sinebata is more than a competition—it’s a movement. Each video is a testament to the power of children’s voices and their ability to shape a more peaceful and inclusive world.” said Anak TV President Elvira Yap-Go.

The festival also featured workshops, panel discussions, and mentorship sessions led by industry professionals, empowering young creators to refine their craft and connect with peers across the country.

As the curtains close on this year’s Sinebata Festival, the journey continues for its champions, who now prepare to take their stories to the international stage in Bangkok.

With their cameras, creativity, and courage, they carry the hopes of a nation and the dreams of a generation. Let the magic of peace ripple across Southeast Asia—one story at a time. (PR)
