6 flights diverted, cancelled due to bad weather Friday

MANILA — Two international flights were diverted to Clark International Airport (CIA) in Pampanga while four domestic flights were cancelled on Friday morning due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

The flights diverted to CIA were Cebu Pacific (5J) 752 Saigon-Manila, and (5J) 679 Shanghai Pudong-Manila.

Air Asia flights (Z2) 438/439 Manila-Puerto Princesa-Manila and (Z2) 773/774 Manila-Cebu-Manila, on the other hand, were cancelled.

The latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tropical Storm Inday has slightly intensified as it enhances the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, bringing light to heavy rains in most parts of Luzon. (Ma.
