7 days left for Anak TV 2023 online awards submission

By Alec Go

Future digital content champions have seven days left to submit their winning youth-oriented entries for this year’s Online Anak TV Seal Awards.

The Anak TV Foundation launched its first-ever search for exemplary child-sensitive and family-oriented digital content on Aug. 25 for any online show by its TV member-networks.

Anak TV opened its doors on Aug. 26 for entries, and will close the submission on Sept. 15.

Entries must be produced and published online between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2023 and must be relevant to Anak TV’s advocacy.

“The pandemic brought about a tremendous surge on the usage of digital media. Among others, it saw the birthing of countless online programs that impact the minds of the children and the youth,” Anak TV President Elvira Go said.

“Outstanding digital content must be honored through the Anak TV Seal. This seal assures parents that a particular program is fit for their children to watch with minimal supervision,” she added.

Based on the guidelines, short form content must be three minutes in minimum to five minutes, while long-form content shall be at least five minutes to 30 minutes.

Less than three-minute YouTube Shorts are not accepted.

First-level judging is set on Oct. 1-15, and the second level from Nov. 1-15.

Among the jurors are Aleli Suguitan, chief of People’s Television’s Digital Media and Interactive Services; Cheryl Ching-Sy, GMA’s VP of Business Development 1 Drama, Entertainment Group; Rina Lopez-Bautista, president of Knowledge Channel; and Ralph Menorca, ABS-CBN’s head of Programming and On Air Operations. – cf
