7 in 10 Filipino Catholics pray once a day – SWS

Seven in 10 Filipino Catholics pray at least once a day, a poll conducted by Social Weather Station (SWS) found.

In the SWS survey conducted from Dec. 10 to 14, 79% of Filipinos who are Catholics said they pray at least once daily.

Meanwhile, 10% said they pray several times a week, 6% pray every week, 4% pray two to three times a month, 2% pray nearly every week, and 1% pray several times a year.

The poll also found that 38% of Filipino Catholics attend religious services one a week or more than once a week.

Ninety-three percent of Filipino Catholics also said they personally went to the place of worship in the past three months.

The survey was conducted face-to-face among 1,200 adults. -ag
