70% of NCR population will be vaccinated before 2022 ends

The OCTA Research Team anticipates that 70% of the population in Metro Manila will be vaccinated before the year ends.

According to Professor Guido David, the region has the greater advantage for a fast distribution of the vaccine due to its advanced health facilities and good local government structure.

However, the OCTA Research Team doubts that the government can vaccinate 70% of the Philippine population this year. The government earlier declared its aim to vaccinate 50% to 70% of the country’s population in 2021 to create a herd immunity against the virus.

But the group of experts raised possible issues that may hinder the realization of the target including transportation, storage, and distribution. – PTV News
