780-K doses of Pfizer arrive in the PH for pediatric vaccination

Some 780,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which will be used in the nation’s pediatric vaccination, arrived on Friday night, Feb. 4.

Vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez together with other officials from the U.S. Embassy welcomed the arrival of the shipment.

The new doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are part of the 30 million reformulated doses that the government bought for the vaccination of minors aged five to 11 years old.

The start of the vaccination for five to 11-year-olds in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be on Monday, Feb. 7.

Galvez is confident that the petition to stop the said vaccination rollout filed by some parents in a Quezon City Regional Trial Court will not affect it. -With reports from Patrick de Jesus/PG – bny
