MANILA — Viacom, Inc. on Thursday announced the eight Filipinos nominated in the two new categories (Favorite Pinoy Internet Star and Favorite Trending Pinoy) of this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards recognizes the kids’ favorites in music, television, and movies.

Actresses Julia Barretto, Liza Soberano, Kathryn Bernardo, and Yassi Pressman will compete under the Favorite Trending Pinoy category.

On the other hand, Ella Cruz, Kristen Fulgar, Hannah Pangilinan and siblings Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero have been nominated as Favorite Pinoy Internet Star.

Viacom Communications senior manager, Yvette Yeo, told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that the organizers do not have a “favorite internet star” and “favorite trending artist” categories for the other Southeast Asian countries.

These categories are only in the Philippines, and fans can cast their votes until March 22, she said.

Fans can vote using Twitter, by using (hashtag) KCA and the hashtag of their nominee. Those in Singapore and Indonesia can also vote using the Nick Play app, while those in the US can also vote through the Screen Up app on supported android devices or iPad and iPhone. They can also cast their votes through the website, kca.nickelodeon.tv.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 will be held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on March 23, and will be hosted by DJ Khaled.

This will be aired in Asia at 6 p.m. on March 25.
