84% ng mga barangay sa Davao Oriental, drug cleared na

Inaprubahan ng Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing ang drug-cleared status para sa walong barangays sa Davao Oriental sa deliberasyon kamakailan.

Ang regional body ay kinabibilangan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) bilang chair, at mayroong mga kinatawan mula sa  Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), at Department of Health (DOH) bilang mga miyembro. 

Sinabi nito na “ang Davao Oriental sa kasalukuyan ay 84.15% cleared na sa iligal na droga. Kung na clear nila ang 84%, walang duda na ma- clear nila ang lahat ng barangay.”

Ang report mula PDEA ay nagpakita na nasa 154 ng 183 barangays sa probinsiya ay cleared na sa iligal na droga. 

Ang mga bagong cleared barangays ay kinabibilangan ng Taguibo at Lawigan sa City of Mati; Barangay Limot at Lucatan sa bayan ng Tarragona; Barangay Aliwagwag, Aragon, Maglahus, at San Miguel sa bayan ng Cateel.

Sinabi ng PDEA na ginagawa nila ngayon ang fast-tracking ng drug-clearing operation sa bawat barangay at tinututukan nila ang mga surrenderers na kinakailangang sumailalim ng community-based rehabilitation at reformation program. (Radyo Pilipinas)
