990 pass May 2022 CPA licensure test

A total of 990 or 22.29% of the 4,442 examinees passed the May 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday evening, June 1.

The exam has a passing rate of 22.29%, and was topped by University of Santo Tomas alumna Jhoone Cyrelle Nacario with an 88.83% rating, followed by Darleen May Alcantara and Yanna Jillianne Cruz of San Beda University who both scored 88.17%.

Sixteen examinees garnered the 10 highest places in the exam, but no schools made it to the list of top performing schools.

The exam was conducted last May 22 to 24 in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. – gb
