3 more P2P bus routes set to be launched on 1Q 2019

MANILA — Three more premium point to point (P2P) buses are set to be launched within the first quarter of this year according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

“The P2P bus routes set to be launched within the first quarter of the year are: Cainta-Ortigas, Clark-San Jose, Nueva Ecija and Clark-Tarlac City,” DOTr communications director Godess Hope Libiran said in a text message to the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Friday.

Currently, a total of 37 routes are being serviced by P2P buses in Metro Manila and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pangasinan, Zambales and Pampanga

The following routes are now being operated by P2P bus:

Fairview – Makati CBD

Ortigas CBD – Makati CBD

Alabang – BGC, Taguig

North Edsa – Ortigas CBD

North Edsa – Makati CBD

Alabang – Makati CBD

Alabang – Ortigas CBD

Sta. Rosa – Makati

Alabang – Bacoor

Alabang – Dasmariñas

Bacoor – Makati

Dasmariñas – Makati (via Daang Hari)

Taguig – Ortigas

Taguig – Makati

Clark – North Edsa

Clark – NAIA

Clark – Lubao, Pampanga

Antipolo – Ortigas

Antipolo – Makati

Cainta – Makati

Sucat – Makati

PITX – Makati

Katipunan – Makati CBD

Eastwood – Makati CBD

Clark – Dagupan, Pangasinan

Clark – Subic, Zambales

Malolos – North EDSA

Bocaue/Sta. Maria – North EDSA

NAIA – Alabang

NAIA – Sta. Rosa, Laguna

The DOTr noted only two P2P bus routes: Fairview-Makati and Ortigas-Makati, were operating in 2016.

The P2P buses are equipped with global positioning system, Wi-Fi connection and closed circuit television cameras. These are also fully-air conditioned and easily accessible to persons with disabilities.
