PRC resumes mobile services in Kidapawan

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The mobile services of Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) will resume here on January 28 after the office suspended its operation in September last year following complaints from clients on its processing procedures.

β€œThe resumed PRC mobile operations will last until February 8,” Mayor Joseph Evangelista said Thursday.

The Kidapawan PRC satellite mobile services cater not only to city residents but also to those coming from the provinces of North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Cotabato City.

Evangelista said the out-of-office services will be at the PRC Satellite office located at the Kidapawan City Overland Terminal.

In a statement, the PRC advised applicants to register online before physically going to the PRC satellite office.

The PRC also announced that the filing of the application for the scheduled March 24, 2019 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) has been extended up to the end of this month. The PRC satellite office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., the statement said.

Kidapawan City is one of the testing centers for LET on March 24 this year.

In September last year, the PRC temporarily ceased its mobile services here as the office prepared for an explanation requested by the North Cotabato provincial board concerning procedures in accepting and renewing PRC licenses.

North Cotabato Board Member Socrates PiΓ±ol filed a resolution summoning PRC officials to explain its existing procedures amid mounting complaints from applicants on slow processing.

PiΓ±ol said he wanted to hear the side of the PRC and possibly make changes to address the issue.
