LPA, NE monsoon bring light rains over most of PH Wednesday

MANILA — The low-pressure area (LPA) that was formerly Tropical Depression Amang would bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorm in Eastern Visayas on Wednesday.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was observed 65 km. northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar.

Eastern Visayas would have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA.

The northeast monsoon is also affecting Luzon and the Visayas.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Bicol regions, the provinces of Aurora and Quezon, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon.

Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 23-31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 20-27 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 11-22 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 24-30; and Metro Davao 25-32 degrees Celsius.
