MANILA — Ten players came during the resumption of the Gilas Pilipinas practice at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City on Monday night.

Raymond Almazan, Mark Barroca, Marcio Lassiter, Paul Lee, and Gabe Norwood, who were fresh from their games in the PBA Philippine Cup the night before, took part in the drills.

Joining them were fellow Gilas elites Jayson Castro, Poy Erram, RR Pogoy, Troy Rosario, and cadet Thirdy Ravena.

“Japeth (Aguilar) and Scottie (Thompson) are still in Digos while June Mar (Fajardo) is not feeling well,” coach Yeng Guiao said.

Monday’s training marked the first time the national team practiced together without Andray Blatche.

Blatche went to Tianjin earlier Monday to play for its Chinese Basketball Association team.

The naturalized center is expected to rejoin Gilas on Saturday, just as the team arrives in Doha, Qatar.

Gilas will battle Qatar during the final window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on February 21.
