BDO systems upgrade to affect e-banking services next weekend

MANILA — Electronic banking channels of the Sy-led BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) will be inaccessible from 10 p.m. Saturday, March 23, until 12 noon the following day due to scheduled system upgrade.

In an advisory, the bank said the key systems enhancements is targeted to “deliver better electronic banking and ATM (automated teller machine) experience to its corporate and retail clients moving forward.”

The process will cover the bank’s ATMs, debit and cash card transactions, and online and mobile banking.

“We advise our clients to perform their electronic banking transactions prior to the scheduled upgrade to avoid any inconvenience,” Edwin G. Reyes, executive vice president and head of BDO’s transaction banking group, said.

BDO’s e-banking services are expected to be back to normal in the afternoon of Sunday, March 24.
