10 hurt in Eastern Samar quake: NDRRMC

MANILA — Around 10 people were reported injured in Eastern Visayas, following the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that rocked San Julian, Eastern Samar Tuesday.

These figures, however, are still for validation, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said in its 6 a.m. update Wednesday.

The update, signed and released by NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad, said that 35 buildings and structures were damaged in San Julian, Eastern Samar.

Also, the provinces of Eastern Samar and Northern Samar have experienced power interruption due to the earthquake.
