PASIG CITY, May 25, 2019 — The Department of Education (DepEd), in coordination with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), is set to open the application for the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) for School Year (SY) 2019-2020 on May 26.

The SHS VP is a program of financial assistance to enable qualified Grade 10 completers to pursue their desired SHS education in private schools, state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local universities and colleges (LUCs) that offer SHS.

All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are not Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees and wish to avail of the voucher subsidy in order to enroll in a non-DepEd SHS have until May 31 to apply manually and June 2 to apply online.

For manual applications, the Voucher Application Form (VAF-1) must be filled out and submitted or personally mailed, together with the complete requirements, to the PEAC National Secretariat at the 5th floor of Salamin Building, 197 Salcedo St., Makati City on or before May 31.

Online applicants, meanwhile, shall have only until May 31 to create accounts on the Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) through ovap.peac.org.ph. Applicants shall be allowed to submit the filled out form and scanned copy of complete requirements until June 2 only.

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Grade 10 completers from public schools, local and state universities and colleges (LUCs and SUCs), as well as Grade 10 completers from private schools who are ESC program grantees, are automatically qualified for the SHS VP and do not need to apply.

The SHS VP is one of several initiatives of the government to make basic education accessible and affordable for Filipino learners nationwide.

Results of the applications will be announced on June 17.
