MANILA — Parts of Luzon and Visayas will experience scattered rain showers on Monday, the weather bureau said.

The frontal system affecting the eastern section of Luzon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, central Luzon and Calabarzon, added the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The southwesterly surface windflow will also cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Mimaropa and western Visayas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate winds will blow over the northern and western sections of Luzon, where coastal waters will be moderate.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
