PNP trusts Bikoy will submit “extrajudicial confession”

MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday expressed belief that Peter Joemel Advincula, alias “Bikoy”, will submit extrajudicial confession supporting his allegations against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and several Liberal Party members as behind the ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte.

Advincula, the man behind a series of videos called “Ang Totoong Narcolist”, posted bail over the weekend but promised to return at Camp Crame to submit his sworn statement and evidences to support his claims.

“We believe that he will be going back and preparing for his extrajudicial confession. That’s what he said. Of course, hindi naman natin siya puwedeng pigilan kung ayaw niya (of course, we cannot force him if does not want),” said PNP chief, Gen. Oscar Albayalde, in a press briefing at Camp Crame on Monday.

“Wala pa syang binibigay (He has yet to submit it) as of this time and probably kung babalik siya (if will return) and he is willing to give his extrajudicial confession through his counsel then will gladly take his extrajudicial confession,” he added.

Last week, Advincula surrendered to authorities, claiming the Bikoy videos linking President Rodrigo Duterte and his family and associates to the illegal drug trades were allegedly orchestrated by Trillanes and the opposition LP.

Albayalde said Advincula did not request for any security amid alleged threats against his life and his family.

“But we have started of course ‘yung sinasabi niya (what he said) but without his sworn statement pati ‘yung mga pangalan at lugar na pinagsasabi niya (including the names and places he mentioned) it has to be covered by a sworn statement,” he said.
