Cavite police ready for Monday’s school opening

IMUS CITY, Cavite — About 2,200 Cavite policemen will be deployed in seven cities and 16 towns of the province to ensure the safety of students when schools open on June 3.

Col. William Segun, provincial police director, said the cops would be deployed in the vicinities of schools and other crime-prone areas as the new school year starts.

“Naka-deployed po lahat ng ating mga kapulisan, magkakaroon po tayo ng maigting na seguridad sa bawat paaralan, nagsimula po ito ng Brigada Eskwela pa (Our police personnel have been deployed to ensure safety and security in every school and this started during Brigada Eskwela),” Segun said in an interview on Wednesday.

Police assistance desks would also be set up in areas near schools, Segun said.

“Katuwang po ng ating mga kapulisan ang mga traffic enforcers at mga barangay tanods sa bawat mga paaralan ng nasasakupan nila sa ating seven cities and 16 towns ng lalawigan (Our police will work together with the traffic enforcers and barangay tanods in ensuring a smooth opening of classes in the province’s seven cities and 16 towns),” Segun added.
