QC veterinary arm makes random inspection amid African Swine Fever scare

The Quezon City Veterinary Department has looked into the death of pigs in Barangay Bagong Silangan. The veterinary office personnel obtained blood samples from the deceased hogs and imposed the 1-7-10 protocol following suspicions of African Swine Fever. Swines within the 1-kilometer radius of the affected area will be culled similar to the practice done in six towns of Rizal province where piggeries were affected by the ASF virus.
