PNP ready to accept surrendering convicts, 100 tracker teams on standby

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is urging convicts released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance Law to turn themselves in to all PNP stations within the President’s given deadline today. Almost 2000 inmates have been freed under the GCTA and 579 surrenderers have been accounted for by the PNP. The PNP has over 100 tracker teams on standby to bring in the rest of the non-compliant convicts.
