Zamboanga closely monitors polio cases

The Zamboanga City Health Office is closely monitoring the suspected cases of polio in the city. The city health office reported five cases of acute flaccid paralysis in the area. Specimens were sent to the research institute for tropical medicine for further investigation. Region 9 arm of the DOH reports there are 29,000 children who need to be vaccinated to be protected against the disease in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
