Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City —- Fifteen days since the assumption to duty of Police Brigadier General Joselito T Esquivel Jr. as the region’s top cop, Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 conducted a total of 51 anti-illegal drugs operations that resulted in the arrest of 53 drug suspects and confiscation of 79.017 grams of shabu and 60 grams of marijuana with a total Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php937,379.25.
PBGEN Esquivel Jr. assumed post as the Regional Director of PRO13 last September 13, 2019. During his inaugural speech, the new Regional Director emphasized that aside from strengthening the campaign against illegal drugs, criminality and internal security operation, he will also strictly implement the PNP Internal Cleansing Program.
Just yesterday, September 27, four anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted.
Acting on information received from a concerned citizen that three male persons were having a pot session in P-3A, Brgy. Bading, Butuan City, personnel of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Butuan City Police Station (BCPS) 2 and Butuan City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC) arrested three suspects, namely: (1) Oscar Tayom Miñoza, 25 years old, male and a resident of P-3, Libertad, Butuan City; (2) Ramer Batolanon David, 26 years old, male and a resident of P-2A, Bading, Butuan City; and (3) Junel Ecleo Payosing, 28 years old, a resident of Phase1 Block29, Lot14, Emily Homes Subdivision, Butuan City.
Payosing is a police trainee, member of Class MAKISLAB 2018-01 and presently undergoing Field Training Program (FTP) at Butuan City Police Office.
Confiscated from the three suspects were one piece crumpled aluminium foil with traces of suspected shabu, two crumpled aluminium foils, three pieces disposable lighters, and four pieces ballpen.
Meanwhile, PNP personnel of Prosperidad Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) conducted buy-bust operation in P-6, Brgy. San Vicente, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur against Enrequito Bada Gonzaga, 47 years old, that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of 1 rolled white paper of dried marijuana leaves; 1 heat sealed plastic cellophane of dried marijuana leaves weighing 2 grams with DDB value of Php110.00 and a Php200.00-bill marked money.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by personnel of Butuan City DEU together with the BCPS1, BCMFC and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 13 in P-5, Brgy. Lapu-Lapu, Butuan City against Jayson Luzano German, 36 years old, presently residing in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, ADS and a native of Brgy. Limaha, Butuan City that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of 2 sachets of shabu weighing 2 grams with DDB value of Php23,600.00, Php2,000.00 marked money, one Samsung cellphone, assorted drug paraphernalia and Php600.00 cash money.
Personnel of the Buenavista MPS, Agusan del Norte PPO together with 1st ADN Provincial Mobile Force Company and personnel of the Provincial Intelligence Branch conducted an anti-illegal drugs operation through the implementation of a search warrant in Purok Nangka, Brgy. 6, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte that resulted in the arrest of Nelson Castillo Isaga, 43 years old and confiscation of 1 sachet of shabu weighing 0.07 gram with DDB value of Php826.00.
“The police force will continue its unwavering efforts to stop the illegal drugs trade in the region and reinvigorate its anti-criminality campaign to ensure safety and security of the Caraganons,” said PBGEN Esquivel Jr.
“Under my watch, I will never tolerate any wrongdoings of my uniformed personnel. This serves as stern warning to all the Caraga cops to never get yourself involved in any illegal activities including illegal drugs. I will surely put you behind the bars of justice,” he added.
