PRRD meets Russian counterpart

Pres. Duterte met Russian President Vladimir Putin in line with their scheduled bilateral meeting. The Philippine Chief Executive was with his cabinet members, with Sen. Bong Go, and Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos Sorreta. In the event, Pres. Putin recognized the Philippines as one of its key Asian allies. The two countries agreed to join hands in developing space and digital technologies. Malacañang said the meeting was a highly significant event. In 2017, the bilateral meeting of the two heads of state was suspended due to the Marawi crisis.
