MANILA— The low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Aurora province and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms in most parts of the country Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The state weather agency said the LPA, last spotted 420 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora, will affect the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Ilocos and Aurora.

The ITCZ affecting southern Luzon and Visayas will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Western and Central Visayas, the Zamboanga peninsula and Palawan.

Coastal waters in northern Luzon will be moderate to rough while slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao and the rest of Luzon. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
