10-hour power outage in Isabela set on Oct 5

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has set a 10-hour power interruption due to annual preventive maintenance on October 5 which will affect some service areas of Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO) – I and II.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP North Luzon Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Officer, said the power interruption will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m.

Gaydowen said the areas affected by the power interruption are consumers served by ISELCO I’s Reina Mercedes substation and ISELCO – II’s Naguilian substation and NGCP Ilagan substation.

She said the NGCP maintenance crew will be conducting annual preventive maintenance and testing of 15MVA power transformer and associated equipment at Ilagan substation and simultaneously conduct corrective line maintenance.

Gaydowen said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion as she advised the customers to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruption. (NGCP/PNA)
