PNP on full alert for Undas

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is on full alert status starting today, Oct 28, until Nov 3 in connection with Undas 2019 season.

PNP Officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa said the monitored no threat for any cemetery in the country.

The country’s top cop said he nevertheless ordered police visibility to deter crimes.

A total of 15 million Filipinos is expected to troop to cemeteries. With this in mind, the PNP will put under watch public cemeteries, airports, seaports, and land transport terminals to provide assistance to passengers. “My outstanding order to all units and personnel is to remain visible at all times along travel routes, transport terminals, public cemeteries, and other public places,” Gen. Gamboa said.

The national police will likewise control the bringing of alcoholic beverages and deadly weapons to cemeteries to ensure peace there. It will also sustain its anti-illegal drug program in the course of the celebration.
